This policy covers lodgepole.app, the Lodgepole AppWorks company website. Our individual apps and services may have their own privacy policies -- you can find those within the app or on each product's page.
Lodgepole AppWorks, Ltd. is subject to Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
What we collect
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you write. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. Submissions are delivered through SMTP2Go, a third-party email service -- see Third-party services below.
We do not use contact form data for marketing without your separate consent.
Email mailing list
If you opt in to our mailing list, we collect your email address. We use it to send you occasional updates about our studio and products. We will not share your address with third parties for marketing.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
Web analytics
This website uses Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics platform that we host on our own servers. Matomo records pages visited, time spent on the site, referring URLs, and general browser and device information. Your data stays on our servers -- it is not shared with any third party.
We anonymize IP addresses before storing them. Your full IP address is never saved.
You can opt out of Matomo tracking at any time. To do so, use the opt-out form at the bottom of this page, or contact us and we will remove your data manually.
Anti-spam (hCaptcha)
Our contact form is protected by hCaptcha, provided by Intuition Machines, Inc. When you complete the CAPTCHA challenge, hCaptcha collects and processes information about your browser and interaction to determine whether you are human. This processing is done by Intuition Machines under their own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes described above. We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with any party beyond those listed under Third-party services.

Matomo is self-hosted -- no analytics data leaves our servers.
Data retention
- Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, then deleted.
- Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data (Matomo) is retained for 12 months, then automatically purged.
Your rights under PIPA
Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for our collection, use, or disclosure of your information, subject to legal or contractual limitations
- File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. For significant changes we will make a reasonable effort to notify affected users.
